Plate is white with gold trim. Center is black and white photo of Rev. and Mrs. Davis. Caption: Elder and Mrs. Edward Davis; Los Angeles, California; October 7, 1979.
Caption on the back of the plate: Elder and Mrs. Edward Davis, natives of North Little Rock, Arkansas took up residence in Los Angeles 1959. He established the Revelation Church of God in Christ where he now pastors. Elder Davis is the Superintendent of Central District, Member of the Executive Board, Southern California, Jurisdiction Number One, Member of the Trustee Board. Picture made, April 1, 1978, on Occasion of their Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary. The Celebration was given by their Three Sons and Four Daughters. Shared by family members, Parishioners and friends.
The FPHC also has a photo of this plate (P29584, ID: 145977).
The couple's 50th anniversary was April 1, 1978. The plate is dated October 7, 1979. Perhaps it took time to get the plate made with the anniversary photo, or the date may have marked the 20th anniversary of the Revelation COGIC.
